The Qualmark licensing process
Qualmark awards quality marks only to qualifying tourism businesses reaching the high standard of quality assurance required by the Qualmark licensing system. Regardless of the type of operation, Qualmark accredited businesses are independently evaluated by a Qualmark Tourism Business Advisor.
Evaluations take place on location at the business and the Qualmark Tourism Business Advisor reviews the operator’s business practices against over 160 individual industry-developed, sector-specific criteria that reflect industry best practice. These include – customer service, standard of facilities, overall business operations, responsible tourism and environmental practices and general safety.
HERE’S HOW THE PROCESS WORKS:
After you make an enquiry with Qualmark, we will send you details of the standards you will be evaluated on and an application form.
Upon payment of your licence fee
you will receive our evaluation preparation information and access to Qualmark’s business tools to assist in your preparation.
3 On-site evaluation
Now it’s time for our Tourism Business Advisor to pay a visit and check out your business. The visit will take up to four hours, with opportunities for feedback and discussion.
Having met the high standards set by the industry you become a certified Qualmark Licence Holder and are recognized for providing quality visitor experiences. You will receive your comprehensive report, detailing the thorough evaluation our Tourism Business Advisor made of your business, and your Qualmark logo to promote your quality assured business. Your certification is in the post.
